Residents, business operators and schools in the City of Gosnells can measure their carbon footprint and find ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through a simple and convenient online tool.
Through its Switch your thinking initiative, the City is making the Climate Clever platform available for free, to help members of the community to reduce energy and water use and save money.
Mayor Terresa Lynes said it was easy for local people to create a Climate Clever profile, enter information from their electricity, gas and water bills and provide details of other activities that create carbon emissions.
“This technology allows residents and business owners to track their carbon footprint and save money,” she said.
