Celebrate Seniors’ Week at the City of Gosnells ActivAGE Expo, a one-stop showcase of local seniors’ programs, services and information, at Mills Park in Beckenham on Friday 4 November.
Visitors can try out seniors’ programs currently on offer through the City, including Drums Alive, Tai Chi, Chair Yoga, Lifeball, Ultimate Frisbee, Pole Walking, Pickleball, Table Tennis and more.
There will also be free health checks, tours of the new Mills Park Library, trishaw tours around Mills Park, stage entertainment, live demonstrations, food trucks and stalls from a wide variety of community groups and services specific to over 55s.
City of Gosnells Mayor Terresa Lynes said it was important to enrich the lives of older residents and support people aged 55 and over to lead full, active lives.
“ActivAGE will offer a taste of the countless activities and services available for people aged 55 years and over to enjoy in the City of Gosnells,” she said.
“Keeping active through tailored programs and services is the best way to keep ourselves fitter, stronger, better connected and happier as we age – and the best time to get involved is now.”
Entry to ActivAGE is free and the first 150 attendees aged 55 years or over will receive food truck vouchers (proof of age required).
