Calling all emerging and experienced artists.

Entries for the City of Gosnells Community Art Exhibition and Awards open in mid-January, with a total prize pool of $10,000 available across 11 categories, including the $5,000 Overall Acquisitive Award.

Mayor Terresa Lynes said the annual exhibition and awards have celebrated the work of talented artists from the City of Gosnells and beyond for more than 30 years.

“Over the years, participating artists have produced some fantastic artworks, with many pieces now displayed in the City’s Civic Centre and other facilities,” Mayor Lynes said.

“This exhibition is a wonderful opportunity for the community to support both emerging and professional artists.”

In addition to the $5,000 Overall Acquisitive Award for the most outstanding entry, each of the 10 categories has a $500 prize:

• Oil 
• Acrylic
• Pastel, Pencil, Pen and Watercolour
• Photography and Digital Media 
• Mixed Media and Three-Dimensional sculpture 
• Youth Award (12 to 17 years) 
• The City in Focus 
• Local Artist 
• Aboriginal Artist 
• People's Choice

All submitted artworks will be judged by the City of Gosnells Public Art Committee, with most pieces on display available for purchase.

Entries open at 9am on Monday 12 January and close at 4pm on Monday 16 March 2026.

This year’s exhibition will be held in the Lyal Richardson Hall in The Agonis building, Gosnells, from Saturday 16 to Sunday 24 May.
