The City of Gosnells is supporting local small business development, by providing $30,000 in funding and in-kind support for Business Station Gosnells this financial year.
The funding will help Business Station to provide workshops, training, advice and other support for local business owners and operators.
City of Gosnells Mayor Terresa Lynes said small businesses were an essential part of the local economy.
“The support and facilities provided by Business Station are critical in helping small businesses to thrive and, in turn, provide goods and services for local residents, create employment opportunities close to home and draw more visitors to the City,” she said.
“The City is proud to have supported Business Station for the past 20 years.”
Business Station Manager Paul Duncan said the funding provided by the City was essential to keeping the business incubator running smoothly, and he encouraged community members to also support local businesses.
“When you buy from a local small business, you are not just supporting the local economy you are also purchasing a small part of a person’s dream,” he said.
