The first City of Gosnells Local Business Forum for 2022, on Wednesday 24 August, will focus on cyber-security, intellectual property protection and business support.

More than 450 new businesses were registered within the City of Gosnells from January to March this year, taking the total number of registered businesses within the City to over 10,000.

Mayor Terresa Lynes said the free forum would provide valuable information for business owners.

“Local businesses make up an integral part of the success of our community,” she said.

“The City is committed to supporting local business owners and operators, through networking opportunities and forums, which provide information and tools to maximise their potential for success.”

World Bank Change Management Contractor Dr Ian Martinus will speak about the importance of cyber security, Business Station Advisor and Foxglove Project Founder Kelley Chisholm will discuss Business Station and its wide range of support services for local business, and IP Mentor and Patent and Trade Mark Attorney Clinton Giraudo will speak about intellectual property protection.

The free Local Business Forum will be held in the Civic Centre Function Room from 5.30pm to 8pm on 24 August, with refreshments provided. Registrations are essential.
