If you are an expectant mum or dad, the Bellies, Birth and Babies Parenting Expo at Mills Park Centre on Tuesday 1 November is not to be missed.

Mayor Terresa Lynes said the Expo, which is in its third year, is an opportunity for expecting parents and young families to discover what services and activities are available within the City of Gosnells.

“Preparing to welcome a baby and having a newborn at home can be stressful as well as joyful and this Expo provides a wealth of practical information and displays about parenting, children’s services and activities for young families in the City,” she said.

“It will also include informative short sessions on topics including taking care of your body during pregnancy and after birth, keeping baby safe, sleep and introducing solids, and there will be food trucks, children’s activities and even free, short massages for mums and dads – all under one roof.”

The Expo rounds out Children’s Week, which runs from Monday 24 October to Friday 28 October. There are plenty of activities on offer for the little ones, including Bubbles and Face Painting, Park Play, Sensory and Stories and much more.

“Children’s Week is about bringing families together, including grandparents, with various activities planned each day to entertain the whole family,”

Mayor Lynes said. The Expo is a free event and will run between 4pm and 7pm to accommodate working parents.
