The City runs a variety of programs and events for local children and families!
Look out for our fun and free programs including Creative Kids, Park Play, and Baby Play as well as, school holiday activities and Children's Week events that are suitable for families with children up to 10 years.
Also available are the children's developmental programs that aim to build children's confidence and develop their cognitive and physical skills. These programs include Tumble Tots, Sporty Kids, Active Sports and Kindamania.
Nature WA Passport
The City of Gosnells in partnership with Nature Play WA, have produced a Nature Passport which can be used to explore nature in the City of Gosnells, play, create, imagine, look closer and have some fun with your friends and family.
Gosnells Children and Family Network
Early Years Networks play an important role in connecting a community by working collaboratively to develop and implement services and activities aimed at improving outcomes for young children and their families.
The Gosnells Children and Family Network consists of representatives from local organisations who support or care for families with children pre-birth - 12 years. Collaborative activities run by the network have included parenting seminars, early literacy programs and family events.

Australian Early Development Census
The Australian Early Development Census (AEDC) is a measure of how young children are developing in their community and is based on scores from a teacher completed checklist. The AEDC measures key areas of early childhood development:
- physical health and wellbeing
- social competence
- emotional maturity
- language and cognitive skills (school-based) and
- communication skills and general knowledge
