The City's Popup Library appears at various community events and local venues to introduce people to the wonderful array of free services offered at the City’s four libraries. Community members can chat to our friendly staff about the library’s resources, events, programs, and experience a sample of some of the great technology we have in use at the libraries.
Library staff are also able to visit your school or organisation to talk about what your local library has available in terms of services, collections, resources and activities. Staff can advise your group on the benefits of libraries and literacy, and can offer something of interest for various age groups and cultural backgrounds. A minimum group size applies. Depending on the size of the group and the venue, staff may choose to bring the Pop Up Library with them (vehicle access to your site is essential as the library is housed in a trailer). Groups are also welcome to visit the City’s libraries, but please contact your preferred library prior to attending.
Want the Pop Up library to appear at your event? We love to come to schools, retirement villages, and community events for a special occasion. Enquire about Pop Up Library outings by emailing the City.
