Pop Up Library

Sitting on a picnic rug with a good book is a great way to spend an afternoon. To encourage City residents to do this, the City has introduced a Pop Up Library which will be appearing at various community events and local venues to introduce people to the wonderful array of free services offered at the City’s four libraries.

City of Gosnells Mayor Glenn Dewhurst said the Pop Up Library concept was about finding a new way to connect with residents who don’t already have a library membership or those members who haven’t visited their library in a while.

“The Pop Up Library brings the benefits of a City library to the outdoors, where people can relax, choose from a selection of books or magazines and chat to our friendly staff about the library’s resources, events and programs,” the Mayor said.

“This portable library comes complete with deck chairs, picnic rugs and of course, book shelves packed with great reads for all ages.”

Keep informed about the City’s libraries on Facebook, subscribe to the monthly e-newsletter or visit this page, all of which are ideal ways to find out about other Pop Up Library events.
