Australia Day Big Breakfast

This popular community event is held annually at Centennial Pioneer Park on 26 January to commemorate Australia Day. The event includes an awards ceremony, music, stage performances, children’s activities and entertainment. A key focus of this event is utilising local talent for stage performances, and each year the City works closely with various community groups with the facilitation of this event.

This free family event continues to grow, with more people opting to celebrate Australia Day actively in their community, in a family friendly atmosphere.

Each year this event attracts over 2,000 people and therefore is a great opportunity to market to the local community.

Gozzy Rock

Gozzy Rock, the City’s annual contemporary music competition, has been successfully promoting original music from emerging bands across Western Australia since 1986.

As WA’s longest running band competition, Gozzy Rock was established to give unsigned bands and artists a chance to break into the music industry. Entries are open to WA bands of any style or genre and the lucky winners receive a great cash prize as well as some recording time at the Soundlab Recording Studio in Southern River.

Gozzy Rock is an event that would suit sponsors interested in supporting youth, music and local artists.

Fusion Food and Culture Festival - November

Building on the growth and success of the City’s Multicultural Food Fair, the City’s largest annual event is being re-launched as Fusion Food and Culture Festival, at Mills Park in Beckenham.

Held in early November each year, the exciting event will be a fusion of diverse cultures and local talent and will see Mills Park come to life with global market stalls, arts and craft, roving and stage entertainment, cultural activities, cooking demonstrations and tasty foods.

The new format will revitalise the City’s annual multicultural celebration and provide greater opportunities to showcase and engage the many diverse cultures the make up the City of Gosnells.

Fusion Festival is suited for large businesses that can offer cash sponsorships to develop the staging of this amazing event.  It gives sponsors an opportunity to target the general community and culturally and linguistically diverse groups.

Big Screen Advertising is available at the Fusion Festival for community groups and small local businesses, giving them the opportunity to sponsor the event and advertise their service.
