DRPAC new season shows

New season shows

A school holiday workshop on circus skills, a foot-stomping set featuring songs from two of the biggest names in rock ‘n’ roll, a festival of short comedy films, Morning Melodies and shows direct from Perth’s Fringe World are in the line-up at Don Russell Performing Arts Centre between January and March.

Zap Circus will host a school holiday workshop for children 10 years and over on Wednesday 24 January. Kids will have the opportunity to learn tumbling, juggling, diablo, hula-hooping and plate spinning. The Sun Rising Band is back by popular demand to feature rock ‘n’ roll legends Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis on Friday 9 March. A new touring festival of short films, A World of Dark Comedy, comes to DRPAC on Sunday 11 March.

The popular Morning Melodies series, which combines engaging performances with morning tea, will feature the Art of McCartney on Wednesday 21 February. Scott Vance, who has performed as McCartney in tribute bands for more than 20 years, will showcase incomparable songs written by the music icon. Eddie Storm OAM and Kelly Green will take you down memory lane with the greatest hits from the 1960s on Wednesday 21 March. This varied offering will include sing-alongs, ballads, pop and a touch of opera.

For the first time, DRPAC will be an official participating venue for Beyond the Fringe performances. The Beyond the Fringe season includes diverse one-act shows performed on consecutive Sunday evenings starting on 28 January.
