Warton Road roundabout roadworks

Construction has begun on a $170,000 Black Spot project to improve the roundabout intersection at Warton Road, Forest Lakes Drive and Huntingdale Road.

City of Gosnells Mayor Glenn Dewhurst said the roadworks would take two months to complete and urged motorists to use caution during that time.

“Work at this roundabout is aimed at slowing down drivers as they approach the intersection, with slow points being installed on the north and south approaches, to significantly improve safety for all road users,” Mayor Dewhurst said.

“Preparation roadworks will be done over the next few weeks before contractors carry out resurfacing. Detours will be put in place at the appropriate time, so we encourage all road users to be patient, reduce their speed and be mindful of road crew workers.”

New line-marking, kerbing and signage will complete the project, which is funded by the City of Gosnells, contributing $56,667 and the State Government providing $113,333.
