Hula Hoop 6 July

Round up your friends and join the City for a school holiday special at Don Russell Performing Arts Centre on Friday 6 July.

Two creative and interactive workshops will take participants for a spin around space with personalised hoops and dances, featuring Perth performer and hula hoop expert Judy Young.

Participants take part in one or both workshops.

The first workshop – Make your own Hula Hoop – begins at 10.30am. Children will craft and decorate a personalised moon hoop to take home.

The second workshop – Hula Hoop Dance – follows at 11.45am. This is a guided 45-minute movement workshop with hula hoops and dancing to space-themed music. Hula hoops will be available to borrow, but if you have your own hula hoop, feel free to bring it along.

“The July school holidays can be difficult to fill with the cooler, wet weather, so this is a perfect opportunity to keep the kids turning, twirling and having lots of fun,” City of Gosnells Mayor Glenn Dewhurst said.
