Celebrate the City of Gosnells’ vibrant community during Harmony Week, with a series of free cultural events for everyone to enjoy between Friday 15 March and Monday 18 March.

Mayor Glenn Dewhurst said the events, including bush tucker walks at the Greater Brixton Street Wetlands and Mary Carroll Park, and a cultural speed chat, were designed to help community members share their cultures and traditions.

“The City of Gosnells is one of the most multicultural communities in the Perth metropolitan area, and it’s one of our City’s greatest strengths,” he said.

“More than 43 per cent of our residents were born overseas and more than one third speak a language other than English at home.

“The City’s Harmony Week events will offer a fascinating insight into the lives and traditions of others in our community, and help us to understand and respect each other better.”

Bookings are required for the Bush Tucker Walk at the Greater Brixton Street Wetlands, which runs from 9am to 11am on Friday 15 March, and for the Bush Tucker Walk at Mary Carroll Park, running from 3.30pm to 5.30pm on Monday 18 March.

The Cultural Speed Chat will take place at the Gosnells Town Square between 3.30pm and 5.30pm on Friday 15 March. Bookings are not required for this event.
