The City of Gosnells has released two resources aimed at supporting people in the community who have fallen on tough times.

The Hardship Assistance Resource and a Homelessness and Begging information card are aimed at helping community members to find services and organisations that can provide assistance in times of need.

City of Gosnells Mayor David Goode said although the City was not in a position to provide direct assistance to community members experiencing homelessness and hardship, many people in the community turned to the City for help.

“These two resources will provide much-needed reassurance and hope to community members who are in need, and point them in the right direction for the assistance they require,” he said.

“They also serve as a powerful reminder that hardship and homelessness can happen to anyone, and that we as a community should be working together to support people who find themselves in these vulnerable situations.”

The resources are available from City facilities including libraries, Leisure World and the Civic Centre. They can also be downloaded from the City’s website.

Businesses and community organisations that would like to display or share these resources can contact the City on 9397 3000.
