Registering your pet is now easier

Registering your new furry friend in the City of Gosnells has become easier, with the introduction of an online application process for new pet registrations.

Previously, residents were only able to renew their pets’ registration online and all new registrations had to be made in person.

“I am pleased that we have been able to expand our online services to offer greater convenience and flexibility to residents,” said the City’s Mayor Glenn Dewhurst.

By law, all dogs aged over three months must be registered and microchipped, and all cats over six months must be registered, sterilised and microchipped.

Microchip and sterilisation documents can now also be submitted online.

Mayor Dewhurst said that pets could be registered for life, three years or one year.

“Many City of Gosnells residents choose to register their pets for life, which saves unnecessary time and costs associated with annual renewals,” he said.
