Prohibited burning period

The City of Gosnells reminds residents that a Prohibited Burning Period is now in effect, until Saturday 31 March 2018.

During this period, it is against the law to set fire to any rubbish, refuse or other material.

Mayor Glenn Dewhurst said everyone in the community had a responsibility to abide by the Prohibited Burning Period, to minimise the risk of fires during the summer months.

“Our firefighters do a fantastic job, and it’s important that we all give them the support they need by following the rules,” Mayor Dewhurst said.

The Prohibited Burning Period may be extended, depending on weather conditions. If this occurs, details will be posted on the City’s website.
