Seniors in the City of Gosnells can take advantage of expert advice on security and safety around the home by taking part in the City’s annual Home Safety Audit program.

This free program gives local seniors peace of mind and top tips for crime prevention and reducing the risk of a fire occurring in the home.

Home Safety Audits are conducted by two trained City staff members and a Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) representative.

DFES provides professional advice on home fire reduction, while City staff provide crime prevention advice and discuss ways to reduce the risk of a burglary.

Residents will also receive a copy of the completed checklists and recommendations, a free information pack, lanyard, fire blanket and a fire and emergency manual. 

Bookings are essential for Home Safety Audits, which are carried out on Tuesday mornings from May to October.
