Main Roads WA will temporarily limit loads on Cargeeg Bridge in Station Street, Gosnells, to five tonnes, restricting the movement of trucks and other larger vehicles over the bridge.

The 5 tonne limit will still allow cars to safely cross the bridge.

City of Gosnells Mayor Glenn Dewhurst said the temporary load limit will be in place for at least six months until the City completes planned structural improvements to the heritage-listed bridge.

“We would like to thank drivers in advance for their patience and understanding while the temporary load limit is in place on Cargeeg Bridge,” Mayor Dewhurst said.

“Drivers of buses, trucks and other large vehicles are asked to find an alternative route during this time.

“During this time, the City will further ensure motorists’ safety by providing additional propping to the structure.”
