A nature play space, new paths and new plants will give Kelton Park in Thornlie a fresh new look this year.

Thornlie residents are invited to find out more and have their say about the project at a consultation session at the park on Wednesday 18 August, from 3.30 to 5.30pm.

City of Gosnells Mayor David Goode said the park upgrade was part of an ongoing focus to improve parks and recreation spaces across the City.

“The informal nature play elements planned for Kelton Park will encourage creativity and connection with the environment,” he said.

“The upgrade to Kelton Park will ultimately provide surrounding residents with a relaxing place to sit and socialise with their families and friends.”

Construction works are expected to begin in November this year and the park will be temporarily closed while works are underway.

Registrations are not required for the consultation session on Wednesday 18 August and residents are invited to simply drop by.
