Are you part of a club or community group and looking for ways to boost membership numbers or diversify income streams?

The City of Gosnells is hosting a series of free workshops designed to increase the knowledge and skills of local community groups and clubs.

Mayor Glenn Dewhurst said the workshops were an opportunity to network and share ideas.

“Whether you run a large community group or volunteer at your local football club, these organisations form the backbone of our community,” he said.

“This is a terrific opportunity to learn valuable skills that will help develop and improve your club or community group, and meet others in similar situations who understand the unique challenges you may face.”

The City also invites clubs or community groups who want to share their success, to feature at one of the four workshops.

This opportunity allows clubs and community groups to promote their organisation while providing practical information to other groups.

Workshops will be held at Mills Park, Beckenham and include:

Wednesday 1 May 2019 – How to run a great club: Planning for sustainable clubs

Wednesday 15 May – Financial sustainability: Grants, sponsors and partners

Wednesday 5 June – Marketing, promotion and growing your membership

Wednesday 19 June – Volunteer management: Attracting and retaining volunteers

Registrations are essential and can be made at the link below for each event or for more information, contact the City’s Community Development team on 9391 6022.
