Free tickets for the City of Gosnells Illuminate Night Party are being snapped up fast with thousands already booked to attend the Saturday 22 February event.

Popular Australian indie rock band The Temper Trap, along with Perth band Gyroscope, breakthrough WA singer-songwriter Brayden Sibbald and hometown heroes The Southern River Band are proving big drawcards.

City of Gosnells Mayor David Goode said the City expected the event to ‘sell out’ and urged fans to secure their free tickets online.

“More than 14,000 people attended last year’s Illuminate Night Party at Gosnells Oval, which has a limited capacity, so be sure to book your tickets now,” he said.

Healthway and Lotterywest CEO, Susan Hunt PSM, said Illuminate promotes the LiveLighter message to encourage people to lead healthier lifestyles.

“This is a really popular event with music performances, food vendors and lots of other activities. There will be healthy food choices available and LiveLighter information on how to be active and live a healthy life,” Ms Hunt said.

“Working together we can reduce traffic congestion, and there’s even a free bike valet service with on-site parking and the Gosnells Mens’ Shed will do minor repairs while you enjoy the festivities.”

Gates open at 4pm, with performances from 4.30pm to 9.30pm, and features subsidised carnival rides, free children’s activities, roving entertainment, food trucks and much more.

Security checks will be in place for this alcohol and smoke-free event and tickets must be presented for entry.

Illuminate Night Party is sponsored by Lotterywest and presented by LiveLighter.
