Community members are invited to help mark 100 years since the formation of the Gosnells Returned & Services League (RSL), at a special event on Saturday 7 September.

The City of Gosnells will host the event, sponsored by Lotterywest, to recognise the significant contribution the Gosnells RSL sub-branch has made to the local community.

Mayor Glenn Dewhurst says the Gosnells RSL has provided important support to local residents who have served in the armed forces in conflicts across the world.

“Since its formation in 1919, Gosnells RSL members have worked tirelessly to provide support for local returning servicemen and women and their families,” he said.

“The Gosnells RSL has provided an important outlet for those who experienced war, and I encourage community members to come along and join with Gosnells RSL celebrate this significant milestone,” he said.

Visitors can also purchase a hearty breakfast cooked by the Rotary Club of Gosnells, for a small charge.
