Mills Fit Month

A series of events and activities at Mills Park next month will showcase the number of ways your whole family can stay fit and healthy at the regional facility.

Starting with the launch of a new, free walking group on 11 October, Mills Fit Month will cater to all fitness levels.

The walking group will meet weekly at 8.45am each Wednesday morning after its launch.

Other Mills Fit Month events include fitness training sessions on 19 and 26 October to help local residents learn how to get the most out of the outdoor Mills Fit Zone equipment, with guidance from a personal trainer. The 45-minute sessions cost $10.50 per person.

A Family Fit session on 29 October will feature games, obstacles and exercises to get your family moving while spending quality time together. The session costs $5.50 per person.

Finally, a Mills Fit Party will be held on October 30 where community members can dance themselves into shape, before enjoying refreshing healthy food and drink samples and visiting a mini expo with health and fitness stalls from local businesses.

City of Gosnells Mayor Olwen Searle encouraged community members to join in next month’s events at the award-winning Mills Park.

“Keeping active provides physical health and mental wellbeing benefits and assists people to make connections with others in our community,” she said.

“Being so close to home and with a wide range of fitness and exercise opportunities available, Mills Park has something for everyone to get active outdoors.”

Bookings are essential for Mills Fit Month activities being held at Mills Park, 89 Brixton Street, Beckenham. Call 9397 3111 to book, or visit for more information.
