Show your support to help the City of Gosnells to campaign for more funds for sporting facilities in outer-metropolitan growth areas. The City has partnered with 10 outer metro councils for the Growth Areas Perth and Peel (GAPP) campaign.

As part of the GAPP campaign, the City is seeking $30 million in Commonwealth Government funding to contribute to a major $119.6 million redevelopment of Sutherlands Park in Huntingdale.

It is the City’s largest active open space and already services more than three times the recommended catchment population. With the surrounding population expected to increase by 52 per cent by 2036, the park’s ageing facilities will not meet community requirements.

Commonwealth Games silver medalist Caitlin Parker and Mayor Glenn Dewhurst have released a social media video explaining the importance of the campaign.
