City of Gosnells Mayor Glenn Dewhurst is encouraging residents to set aside Saturday 21 April to discover there’s more to a library than books when Kenwick Library is opened for a community fun day.

Between 9am and 1pm, a range of free activities will include a special story-time session, animal show, face painting and ‘have a go’ yoga and Zumba fitness sessions with Leisure World.

The City’s Nomad Wandering Youth Space will provide activities for young people, and there will also be community stalls and activities by ‘Friends of’ groups from the Brixton Street and Mary Carroll wetlands.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase on the day.

“Kenwick Library, at 82 Kenwick Road, is a great place to explore the world, learn, research or just relax. There’s a dedicated children’s area and computer zone, along with regular activities and group meetings such as LEGO Club, coding and robotics and Animal Move and Sing,” Mayor Dewhurst said.

The City’s website at www.gosnells.wa.gov.au has a wealth of information about library resources and events. To find out more about the Kenwick Library Fun Day, please visit our website or call the City on 9397 3000.
