Whether you’re in a band, a solo musician, DJ or hip hop artist, the City of Gosnells wants to hear your tunes for this year’s Gozzy Rock.

Entries for the City’s annual youth battle-of-the-bands competition are now open, along with a shot at winning some great cash prizes.

Mayor David Goode said the City had been a long-time supporter of young musicians making original music, having run Gozzy Rock for more than two decades.

“Giving young people a chance to showcase their talents is at the core of this event – as is the opportunity to perform in front of family, friends and industry professionals if they make it to the final show,” he said.

“The best Gozzy Rock entrants will be invited to join our live show at the Don Russell Performing Arts Centre on Saturday 15 May.”

Key dates:

  • Entries close Wednesday 31 March

  • Finalists announced Wednesday 7 April

  • Competition held on Saturday 15 May

  • Winners announced on Wednesday 19 May

Prizes include $1,500 for first place, $750 for second place and $500 for third place.

To be eligible, individual entrants and at least one person in the band or group entries must live, work or study in the City of Gosnells.

Entries must be submitted online, with entry packs and more details available via thehive.net.au or by calling 9397 3130.
