If you’ve always wanted to do more to care for the environment, Bushcare’s Big Day Out on Sunday 19 July from 9am to noon, is a great opportunity to make a difference.

This national day of community participation focuses on the restoration and care of local bushland and this year, the City of Gosnells will be adding more than 3,000 native seedlings to natural areas at Mills Park in Beckenham.

Mayor David Goode encouraged residents to join the planting team and learn more about what is being done to restore and protect our local environment.

“Whether you stay for an hour or the whole morning, Bushcare’s Big Day Out is a terrific way to do something good for the environment and our community,” the Mayor said.

“It’s a great way to get outdoors, maybe get a little grubby and enjoy spending time with family or friends.”

Please bring your own gumboots, water bottle and gloves, and wear appropriate clothing.
