Date change for popular multi-sports program

The City of Gosnells has had to change the dates for popular multi-sports program Gosfields, to allow for oval maintenance.

“Gosfields will be taking a two-week break on 27 March and 3 April, but we’re pleased to say two new dates will be added to the end of the program to make up for lost time,” City of Gosnells Mayor Glenn Dewhurst said.

“This means the free program will be extended until Wednesday 8 May.” Gosfields gives children and teenagers aged from 8 to 18 opportunities to try a range of different sports, with support from local sports clubs, free each week.

Participants are broken into four groups – younger girls, older girls, younger boys and older boys – for the activities, before enjoying a free dinner.

It’s on Wednesdays, 5pm to 7pm at Harmony Fields, 163 Alcock Street, Maddington. Gosfields is supported by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.
