Dancing in the Street to unite us

Published on Tuesday 5 February, 2019

David Bowie and Mick Jagger got everyone doing it in 1985 and now the City of Gosnells is hoping you’ll be Dancing in the Street on Saturday 16 March.

City of Gosnells Mayor Glenn Dewhurst urged residents to boogie down for this free, fun and interactive all-ages event in celebration of Harmony Week.

“Dancing is a part of so many cultures but even as individuals, we all have different dance styles, so this event is truly something that everyone can do, no matter their age, fitness level or background,” the Mayor said.

“It’s a great opportunity to be active and have fun while learning some new moves – no experience necessary.”

Cultural groups will host dance workshops and there will be food trucks at this event, supported by the Australian Government Department of Social Services.
