Council Meetings online, hear hear

Audio recordings of City of Gosnells Council Meetings are now available online.

Mayor Glenn Dewhurst said digital recordings provided the community with greater access to the City’s decision making process.

“There’s now an audio button on the page of all Council meeting minutes published on our website, so anyone can listen to the meeting’s proceedings,” Mayor Dewhurst said.

“It’s one of the advantages of technology that ensures greater openness and access for people who may not be able to attend meetings.”

Under the City’s Standing Orders Local Law, it is an offence for a person to make their own recording of a Council meeting and a penalty of up to $1,000 applies.

For more details or to listen to the latest Council meeting, please visit the City’s website and search ‘Agenda and minutes’ or call 9397 3000.
