If you’d prefer to switch your e-reader for a traditional book in this time of social distancing, the City of Gosnells new Click and Collect service may be perfect for you.

Library customers can simply browse the City’s online catalogue, reserve their items and wait for a Library team member to call and arrange a time for collection. The service even includes Click and Collect printing.

Mayor David Goode said while we are all doing our bit to prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), including staying at home as much as possible, not all aspects of our former life needed to change.

“Choosing a good book to read from your library is something that more than 53,000 library members enjoy doing every year in the City of Gosnells,” Mayor Goode said.

“This year, however, we have to do things differently during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Our new Click and Collect service is a great way for people to continue ‘going to the library’ without social contact and it’s something we plan to operate while our libraries remain closed.”

Using Click and Collect is easy – reserve your items via the online catalogue, receive a phone call to arrange pick-up and present your library card on collection.

This service is available to all library users, however housebound customers, those over 70 years, people with disability or at-risk individuals can continue to access other options to borrow library items such as home delivery or free online resources. Contact your local library for details.

Click and Collect printing is great for those who need to print application forms, resumes or other documents and payment can be done over the phone when arranging pick-up.
