Sutherlands Park in the City of Gosnells has hosted some of the nation’s brightest cricketing stars at a recent Under 19s national cricket championship.

Sutherlands Park in Huntingdale was selected as one of the grounds in the Perth metropolitan area to host the championship, held from 2 to 12 December.

Mayor David Goode said Cricket Australia and the Western Australian Cricket Association selected the ground based on the high standard of its centre wicket and outfield.

“Staff from our Sutherlands Reserve team work hard to keep the grounds in top condition, so it is wonderful that the facility has received this national recognition,” he said.

“We also look forward to the imminent completion of the indoor training facility, which is expected to open early in 2020.”
