The City of Gosnells hosted an afternoon of skate park action and fun activities to celebrate WA Youth Week last Saturday at Mills Park Skate Plaza in Beckenham.

Mayor David Goode said the event was a terrific way for young people to come together and for the general community to see the positive contributions made by our youth.

“This year’s WA Youth Week theme was Our Path, highlighting the importance of community, belonging and connection to place and culture,” Mayor Goode said.

“Community is at the heart of everything we do at the City of Gosnells – the programs and events we provide for young people, from toddlers up to 25-year-olds, are all about giving them the space to be active, creative and feel proud of where they live.

“The City’s Youth Fest 2021 had a little bit of everything, with skate, scooter and BMX events at the plaza, as well as art workshops, a dodgeball arena, free barbecue and DJ.”
