Published on Thursday 10 January, 2019

Join in the celebrations and get into the community spirit this Australia Day, at the City of Gosnells Australia Day Big Breakfast.

Between 8am and 11am on Saturday 26 January the Gosnells town centre will come alive with free kids’ activities, performances, demonstrations, art market stalls and much more.

Visitors can also purchase a hearty breakfast cooked by the Rotary Club of Gosnells – $10 standard serving or $12 for an extra-large serving for adults, and $5 for children.

At 10.15am in the Lyal Richardson Hall, the City will announce the recipients of the Australia Day Citizenship Awards and Safe City Awards, reflecting on the qualities and actions that make our community a great place to live.

“We have many reasons to celebrate our great community this Australia Day, and the Big Breakfast always provides a fantastic family-friendly atmosphere,” Mayor Glenn Dewhurst said. “Make sure you come on down and say g’day.”

More than 70 residents will also become Australian citizens at a special ceremony on the day. Due to space restrictions, this ceremony is by invitation only.

Community members should note Federation Parade in Gosnells will be closed to vehicles from noon on Friday 25 January to 2pm on Saturday 26 January.
