The CCTV network in the Gosnells town centre will soon be expanded, thanks to a $100,000 grant awarded to the City.

The grant from the State CCTV Strategy will fund an additional 16 cameras along Albany Highway, between Fremantle Road and Dorothy Street.

City of Gosnells Mayor Glenn Dewhurst said the new cameras would provide additional coverage for the security of community members and local business.

“CCTV is an important part of the push to make our City feel safer and deter crime, protecting both people and property,” Mayor Dewhurst said.

“The City worked with the Gosnells Police and the State CCTV Strategy to identify the locations for the cameras that will have the greatest impact and cover the areas most in need.”
