Share in the joy of a good melody at the Don Russell Performing Arts Centre each month in 2019, with the monthly Morning Melodies performances.

“Morning Melodies tickets for the first half of the year are available now, but these popular shows fill up fast, so you’d better be quick,” said City of Gosnells Mayor Glenn Dewhurst.

“This year’s lineup looks particularly exciting and varied, with a little something for everyone.”

Kicking off 2019 Morning Melodies on Wednesday 20 February is vocalist Alix Jordan, who will perform well-known tunes from the 1970s by Olivia Newton-John. Totally Olivia Newton-John will include everyone’s favourite musical numbers from her popular movies.

Then on 13 March, Perth band Sassafras will bring tapping swing, breakneck gypsy jazz, wistful French ballads and re-worked jazz standards in a vibrant and engaging mix of acoustic music.

On 24 April, audience members will be serenaded with music from different eras by The Dutch Singers, who will perform in traditional Volendam costumes.

Agelink Theatre will take you back to the romance and spirit of the 1950s and the golden age of musical theatre on 22 May, before the Older Women’s Network Theatre Group presents a variety show of music and dancing from yesteryear on 19 June.

All Morning Melodies shows include a morning tea at 10.15am, followed by a performance at 11am.

Tickets cost $15, or $14 each for a group of 10 or more, and $3 for carers. Bookings can be made by calling the box office on 9498 9414.
