Seniors happy ageing

There’s something for everyone in the City of Gosnells seniors’ activities in January.

City of Gosnells Mayor Glenn Dewhurst said there was plenty to learn and do for local residents aged 55 and over.

“Just because people reach a certain age doesn’t necessarily mean they will all suddenly like the same things, which is why having such a wide range of activities for our seniors is so important,” he said.

“From a twilight picnic in Kings Park, to learning about grief and loss, public transport tips and tricks and making our planet cleaner – our events calendar for January is possibly our most varied yet.

“Why don’t you make it a New Year’s resolution to get out in your community, try something new and maybe meet some new people?”

Places for some seniors’ events are limited and in some cases a ballot system has been introduced to ensure a fair and equitable allocation of spots.
