Breakfast Australia Day

Start your Australia Day the right way with a hearty breakfast at the City of Gosnells annual Big Breakfast on Tuesday 26 January.

Held each year at Centennial Pioneer Park in Gosnells, the City’s Australia Day Big Breakfast is a popular event, with free entertainment and activities for local residents for all ages.

Winners of the Community Citizen of the Year Awards will also be announced at the event to recognise those groups and individuals that have made an outstanding contribution to the local community.

Mayor David Goode encouraged residents to join the fun from 8am to 11am at this family-friendly event, with lamington decorating, mini-golf, Australian wildlife displays, cork-hat making and wattle crown craft.

“The Big Breakfast is a fantastic way to spend the morning and celebrate what’s great about Australia and all the things we enjoy about life in this beautiful country,” he said.

“The Citizen of the Year Awards are also an important way to acknowledge those who contribute their time and energy to make our City a great place to live.”

The Gosnells Rotary Club will again serve cooked breakfast from 8am at $5 for kids, $10 for a regular serve or $12 for a big brekkie. Food trucks will also be on hand to provide vegetarian and other dietary options.
