Project updates

The City has successfully completed a number of park enhancements as part of its Public Open Space Strategy. This 30-year plan has five, six-year 'works' phases, which include acquiring, disposing of and improving land to create better parks throughout the City.

This plan is not just for the benefit of residents now but also those living here in the future. Work on Stage 2 is now underway (2017 - 2023).

Completed: March 2019

Working with local residents to create a design to suit their needs has resulted in an exciting transformation of this 1.9ha park.

Start: April 2019
Finish (est): October 2019

Nature is the focus of this park’s redevelopment, with nature play and wetland boardwalks to create a space where people can enjoy some ‘time out’.

Start: July 2019
Finish (est): February 2020

A 42-lot residential subdivision will be created around this large park, which will feature a state-of-the-art children’s playground, barbecues, seating, public toilets, lighting, street parking, a dog exercise area and extensive landscaping.
