Key environmental projects

The City works in partnership with other government and non-government agencies on a variety of targeted projects to manage and improve natural areas.

Urban Waterways Renewal Project

This project aims to improve the water quality and ecological value of Bickley Brook in Maddington and Kenwick.

Sediment and erosion project

Aiming to develop a set of tools to assist local governments to control sediment and erosion on development sites this project is being run as a collaboration between a group of Local Governments and the University of WA.

Holmes Street Bushland North Project

Set in an urban setting, this regionally significant bushland is the focus of a variety of rehabilitation and restoration works, including fencing, weed control and revegetation.

Southern River Foreshore Rehabilitation Project

A three year partnership project aiming to protect and improve vegetation condition along a section of Southern River foreshore in Gosnells.
