Business Launchpad Awards - Nominees

Nominee number four - Kiwi Catering

Our latest nominee for the Launchpad Awards is Kiwi Catering, a family-owned mobile catering business that has a full kitchen in a trailer, which can travel to most locations to provide anything from a snack to a fully catered dinner.

Kiwi Catering offer a variety of ‘kiwi’ food, different to the offering of their competitors. They have foods that people may have tasted while travelling in New Zealand. They’ve had clients who wanted to treat a Kiwi colleague, and expats that love the taste of home.

Kiwi Catering offer a no-questions-asked refund if clients are not completely happy. Clients can ring ahead to place an order and pick it up at a time convenient to them, or have it delivered.

Owners Glen and Trish attribute their success to using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and they also live locally and support local wherever possible. Word of mouth and comments on social media have been the biggest driver of new clients - a testament to the quality of the service. The growth of the business means it is likely to need another local employee shortly.

Third nominee - My Fair Lady Beauty and Day Spa

Our third nominee for the awards is My Fair Lady Beauty and Day Spa. Owner Stacey Lake has remodelled and refitted the premises to create an inviting and friendly feel.  The staff at My Fair Lady Beauty and Day Spa provides an experience of tranquillity and pampering in a very professional manner.

The business provides regular newsletters to its customers, an-easy-to-use and a Facebook page, all offering weekly and monthly specials and bonuses and an online appointment booking facility.

The business has taken on more staff in the last two years, and has invested in the latest technology  to service customers skin conditions.
