Public Art is artistic works designed or created by an artist/s and situated in an accessible place for the public.

Public Art aims to enrich the community by evoking meaning in the public realm and by creating a sense of pride-of-place where residents live, work and play.

The City contributes to public art projects through its Percent for Art scheme. The scheme requires that infrastructure developments over the value of $1 million contribute an additional 1% of the calculated project value toward the provision of public art within the development's precinct.

If you are an Artist and would to join our mailing list for Public Art Projects, please email with your contact details.

There are currently no opportunities for public art commissions.
