The City's libraries regularly host programs, special events, workshops, guest speakers and friendly club gatherings for people of all ages. Links to more information about the artistic and creative groups and exhibitions are available below.

All events are free and some include free refreshments.

Amherst Village Painters Circle

Amherst Village Painter’s Circle group aims to support and encourage others to explore hidden talents and share knowledge, while painting in the comfort of Amherst Village Library.

Book Club at Knowledge Centre

Adults who love reading and like to chat about the latest book they’ve read will enjoy our monthly Book Club sessions, held on a Monday afternoon.

Charity Chums at Knowledge Centre

Knit, crochet or do patchwork for various charities. Help those less fortunate and meet new people with similar interests.

Colour therapy club at Thornlie Library

Rediscover the simple pleasure of colouring in. It’s relaxing, stress-relieving and fun.

Crafternoon at Kenwick Library

If you’re a craft enthusiast or just starting out, the community craft group at Kenwick Library is the place to get stuck into your latest craft project, socialise with other people and be inspired.

Creative Inspirations at the Knowledge Centre

Join us each month to socialise, learn new craft skills, and share any crafty hidden talents.

Creative Space for Teens

Bring your friends and hang out at the Creative Space for some fun projects and activities. Suitable for ages 12 - 17 years old.

Dungeons and Dragons

Do you like role-playing games, fantasy fiction, medieval history or trying new things? Then come along to the Kenwick group and start a new adventure. Every third Wednesday of the month, for ages 15+ and over.

Gosnells Writers Circle at Knowledge Centre

Are your stories/poems stuck in a drawer or piling up on the computer? Or are the words still drifting around in your grey cells? Join like-minded writers and share your work. The Circle meets at Knowledge Centre twice a month on Friday afternoons.

Knit and Yarn at Knowledge Centre

Knit while enjoying the company of other like-minded people. Please bring your own needles and wool. Knitting experience required.
