DRPAC new season shows

New season at DRPAC

Purple People, a family-friendly pantomime, the sounds of swing, Morning Melodies and the celebration of an Australian show business icon are in the line-up at the Don Russell Performing Arts Centre between now and the end of the year.

Zap Circus will bring awe-inspiring and death-defying acrobatics, whip cracking, hoola hooping and a dash of humour with their Purple People Show on Thursday 5 October, and legendary leading lady Geraldine Turner will share stories of her life on stage in Turner’s Turn, on Saturday 28 October.

Wembley Theatre Company’s Old Mother Hubbard pantomime offers traditional-style family entertainment in a matinee performance on Sunday 5 November, and James Flynn and the Perth Jazz Orchestra will celebrate the sounds of the 40s and 50s with Big Band Swing on Thursday 23 November.

The popular Morning Melodies series, which combines engaging performances with morning tea, will feature Agelink Theatre’s Uncovering May Gibbs in October, a compilation of Western Australian short documentaries in November, and Christmas carols, old time favourites and audience participation with the Silver Threads Band in December.
