Safe City Awards 2017

Last chance to nominate for Safe City Awards

Community members have until 30 September to submit nominations for the City of Gosnells Safe City Awards.

The awards recognise individuals, community groups or schools which make the City a safer place to be, through crime prevention, community safety programs or programs that promote caring for the environment.

There are three categories in the Safe City Awards.

The Community Kids Award recognises primary schools that contribute to the safety and security of their school, community or environment. Entries are welcome from schools or individual classes.

The Community Initiative Award is for individuals, organisations or groups within the City who are actively involved in new or existing crime prevention or community safety programs.

Lastly, the Constable Peter Ball Memorial Youth Award is open to individuals aged 12 to 25 years living in the City, or non-profit organisations supporting local youth activities. This award was named in honour of Constable Peter Ball who lived and worked in the City of Gosnells.

To be eligible, programs or projects must have been conducted in the past 12 months.

The competition is proudly sponsored by Examiner Newspapers.
