Are you enrolled to vote?

City of Gosnells residents and ratepayers have until Friday 1 September to enrol to vote ahead of the Local Government Elections on Saturday 21 October.

In the City of Gosnells, the election will fill seven vacancies on Council. Of these, six councillors will be elected for a four-year term and one will be elected for a two-year term.

To vote in this year’s Local Government election, eligible individuals must be enrolled on the State or Commonwealth Electoral Rolls, or the City’s Owners and Occupiers Roll, before the 1 September deadline.

Voting packs will be distributed from Wednesday, 27 September.

If you are not enrolled or have recently changed your address, you will need to complete an enrolment form through the WA Electoral Commission website at

Nominating for Council

Do you want to make a difference in your community? If so, you may want to wish to nominate for Council.

To nominate for Council, candidates must be 18 years or older and be a registered elector. Nominations for Council will be accepted between Thursday 7 September and Thursday 14 September.

Anyone considering nominating for Council is encouraged to register for the WA Local Government Association’s Prospective Elected Members Webinar on Thursday 17 August.

Information about nominating to be a Councillor will be released in the coming weeks, and voting packs will be distributed from Wednesday, 27 September.
