Hume Road Wildlife Reserve

About+

The Hume Road Wildlife Reserve is a three hectare window into Thornlie's past.

In a relatively small area, this Bushland Reserve encompasses three distinctly different vegetation communities - Banksia woodland, Marri woodland and Melaleuca wetland.

The Reserve is a haven for birdlife, with nesting and food resources in ample supply.

The Reserve has a casual walk trail traversing the Reserve from the Culligan Road to Cassidy Street sides.

Orchids are on display in springtime, with Cowslip, Jug and Spider Orchids to be found and, if you're really observant and lucky, the Queen of Sheba Orchid may be found.
