Employment self-sufficiency is the ratio of employed local residents to local jobs – that is, local residents have the potential to obtain employment locally.
The City’s overall employment self-sufficiency rate is 45.6%. However, in addition to those local residents who work in the City of Gosnells, a further 26% travel from adjoining local government areas, ie. they have a short journey to work.Â
