What is Gozzy Rock?
Gozzy Rock is the City of Gosnells' annual contemporary music competition, promoting original music from emerging bands all over WA.

Is my band eligible?
Entries are open to WA bands of any style

The following conditions apply:

• All your music must be original

Your band cannot:

• Be more than two years old
• Already have a distribution deal
• Already have a record deal
• Have been a major winner from a previous year

So how do I enter?
What you must include:

• A completed entry form
• A CD of at least three original songs
• A band biography, including all previous playing experience
• Full payment of the $25 entry fee (guarantees entry to CD judging only this will not guarantee a spot in the heats or finals. (Entry Fee is non-refundable)
• A band photo (high resolution images of 300dpi are desirable but not essential)

What next?
16 bands will be chosen from the entries to perform at the heats in 2008. Music industry experts will determine which bands make it to the heats and main event.
Entry fees are non-refundable.

The Heats
All heats will be held at the Don Russell Performing Arts Centre in Thornlie.
22 January
29 January
5 February
12 February

Judges will select eight bands from the heats to compete in the finals. The judges¡¦ decision is final. All heats are drug and alcohol-free, all ages events.

The Final
Sunday 21 February 2010
12pm to 7pm
Pioneer Park Amphitheatre, Gosnells

Full sound system will be provided

Entries close
Thursday 17 December 2009 at 5pm (must be received at City of Gosnells Administration building or posted with stamp dated Thursday 17 December 2010)
